Peer Support Program

In partnership with SAPMEA, ReturnToWorkSA provides the Peer Support Program to help assessors deliver assessments that are consistent, objective, and fair.

The Peer Support Program connects assessors with experienced Peer Support Assessors who provide practical guidance and feedback throughout the WPI assessment process. Support is tailored to each assessor’s individual needs and may include case discussions, report reviews, and advice on complex or challenging assessments.

Benefits of the Peer Support Program

Working with a Peer Support Assessor helps you:

  • Maintain consistency, objectivity, and fairness in your assessments through collegial guidance and shared expertise.
  • Strengthen your medical reasoning by discussing complex cases and ensuring your reports are sound, clear, and well-justified.
  • Stay compliant with the Impairment Assessment Guidelines, the Act, and relevant AMA Guides.
  • Communicate more effectively and apply a fair, transparent process in your assessments.
  • Reduce errors and improve report quality, ensuring correct entitlements are supported.

Consulting a Peer Support Assessor is a practical way to enhance your professional growth while upholding the highest standards of assessment.
